Map Tags

Categorize your map with tags to help players find it.

Map Tags are labels you can add to your map to help categorize its genre or main gameplay mechanics. Using tags is crucial for helping players discover your map when they are searching for a specific type of game to play.

How Tags Work

When players browse maps in the "Discover" menu, they can filter the results by tags. If your map is tagged as "Parkour," it will show up when a player filters for parkour maps. Tags are also used by the admin-configured Featured NPCs in the lobby to create dynamic pools of maps.

Managing Your Map's Tags

You can add or remove tags from your map in the Info module.

  1. Go to /editmap -> Info (Book).
  2. Click the "Tags" item (Hopper).
  3. This will open the Tag Select Menu, showing a list of all available server tags (e.g., PvP, Parkour, Puzzle, Minigame, Adventure).
  4. Click on a tag to toggle it on or off for your map. Enabled tags will be enchanted.

It's recommended to add any tags that accurately describe your game to increase its visibility to interested players.
